The plan for Cake! Cookies! Pie! Oh my! started evolving during the Covid pandemic. Suddenly my family and I had lots of free time to come up with ideas for my business, which was something I had been thinking about for years. We remembered the time we asked my niece Aurelia when she was little, "What's your favorite dessert?" In the sweetest little voice (I can still hear it in my head!) she looked up at us & said "'Cake! Cookies! Pie!'" In other words, why pick one? My kids helped come up with the name, adding the "Oh my!" (as in "Lions & tigers & bears!").

I started baking and cooking with my mom at an early age, standing on a chair to reach the counter. My Grandma Hines was an avid baker, inspiring many of my favorite recipes including coffee cake and whoopie pies. My other Grandma "Mambly" was also an inspiration to me, with a love for all things chocolate & an affinity for pie baking. Over the years, beginning in high school when I sold lemon meringue pies to my neighbor, I have created many desserts, breakfast treats, gift boxes, etc. for family, friends, & acquaintances.
I started baking and cooking with my mom at an early age, standing on a chair to reach the counter. My other Grandma "Mambly" was also an inspiration to me, with a love for all things chocolate & an affinity for pie baking. Over the years, beginning in high school when I sold lemon meringue pies to my neighbor, I have created many desserts, breakfast treats, gift boxes, etc. for family, friends, & acquaintances.

After the Homemade Food Act passed in 2021 allowing at-home bakeries to operate in the Albuquerque area, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. Now I have the unique ability to sell goods made in my own home kitchen! I am able to work in the space where I am most comfortable & spend the most time. Most importantly, I have the flexibility to make my own schedule & maintain time for the other things in my life, including my husband (Troy), daughter (Madeline), son (Rowan), 3 dogs, Ultimate frisbee, etc.

I would describe my decorating as simple yet elegant. I offer options for people with food allergies, including non-gluten, non-dairy & nut free items. You can be sure that whatever you order will be fresh, pretty, & made with quality ingredients...dependably delicious!
